the +10 armour is an insignia no? it's an armour prefix (goes at the start of the name) where as runes are suffix (go and the end)

Like...um, "Prefix" Knights armour of "suffix".

unless there is a +10 armour rune, perhaps you mean the rune of vitae which is +10hp....

Correction: Knights is the Prefix. But as for the OP, it all depends on the damage your taking. Normally, a Superior Absorbtion rune is mandatory on any warrior, yet I presume you mean the Ascalon Insignia. IMO, unless you need -3 damage reduction for a very specific purpose (eg farming) then don't buy the Ascalon Insignia for your armor. Yet, as I said, a sup Absorb is mandatory. As for Insignia choice, I'm personally in love with Brawler's for now, but I could be in minority.

Hope this helped.

Insignias and runes go in different slots, so you can use one of each on your armor.

Superior Absorption has no penalty, so you should always use one.

The -3 damage insignia (whatever it's called) is not very useful. Your best options are +energy and +hp.

I suggest to put the sup absorbtion on the chest. Infact the -3 dmg has effects only when they hit ur chest (37% chance more or less; othe parts=less chance).

-3 damage is better for large numbers of low-damage monsters, like Ettins, Vermin, Minotaurs maybe. So really only for farming. For high damage bashing or other kinds of damage, +10 armour is better. And +energy is good, too.

You appear to be confusing a Knight's Insigna with a rune of superior absorbsion.

A rune of superior absorbsion will reduce any and all physical damage hits by 3. Placing a Knight's Insignia will reduce incomming physical damage that strikes that specific armor piece only. The rune and insigna will always stack. It does not matter where you place runes, ever. Placement of Insignias do matter.
